As long as we're not being random anyway, I vote for another genre.

As long as we're not being random anyway, I vote for another genre.

How so are we not being random? I sometimes choose a next number down (happened once) when i see the number chosen was a similar film in the same series (in this case, another Chevrolet leader news). I can just play it as it lays, and choose any number as it comes, similar genre and repeats welcomed!! ;)

I'm fine with either way :)

Well, you just answered your own question. It's sort of like asking for a re-do in black jack when you get a card you don't like. Sure you're only taking the next card off the deck, but you're still putting some human choice into the equation.

Buuut, since nobody has any money riding on this (I don't think), it seems like a little massaging of the results may be the best course.

As for westerns, a somebody who's not a fan of the genre, most of what's out there (especially what's found it's way to the archive) does tend to blur together. I'd be even more unlikely to contribute to the group on a western.

[Edit: removed redundant sentence fragment. Changed phrasing.]

Spuzz is doing a wonderful job.

HAH!

Seriously though, I think it's still random enough to say, "we've already done that genre, let's do something different."

There are exceptionally good westerns in the archive, but it's unlikely we'll pull one up by chance.

It might be a good thing to have forum participants pick a movie from time to time, so that we're looking at something that someone else finds exceptional. Maybe once a month, or every other month, or every fortnight, or furlong, or something. Spuzz could randomly pick one of us to pick a movie less than randomly.

And I agree, Spuzz is doing a fine job.

[Minor edits , because everyone else is doing it.]
